It’s important that you and your teen are up-to-date with the Graduated Driver Licensing (GDL) laws in your state, as they are designed to help your new driver gradually gain the experience and skills that he/she needs in order to lower risk conditions before earning full driving privileges. Research has shown that GDL laws can reduce teen crashes 10-30 percent on average.
